Remotix VNC, RDP & NEAR App Reviews

I downloaded this app for my iPad. Loved it, so I downloaded the app for my iMac. I just assumed that RDP would be supported on the iMac app since it was supported on iPad. No such luck. Need RDP support on the iMac app. Until then, its a waste of money.

The old version was really stable. The newly installed version won’t allow me to do anything since it crashes immediately upon startup.

Unlike the other review here, I’ve experienced no significant bugs with Remotix in months. It’s also faster than any other OS X VNC client Ive tried. I use it daily for multiple remote connections. Once in a blue moon, it hangs; I have no idea if this is due to one of my VPN clients or Remotix, but it’s so uncommon I don’t worry about it. My only complaint is that you can only start remote clients via mouse interactions. Id really like some way of connecting Remotix with KeyboardMaestro or Automator, and that requires a better way to launch sessions than clicking on icons. Please consider adding a keyboard interface or formal programmatic control.

I started with Remotix on my iPad so I could talk to my downstairs machine while lying in bed. Now I’ve got it on my iPhone, my wife’s iPad, and — finally — my MacBook Pro, where I’m using it on business trips. There is simply no other remote connection app even remotely (pun intended) like it. Remotix just WORKS. It says what it does, and it does what it says. You can’t ask more of an app, except that it be easy to use, and Remotix has that sewn up, too.

Works perfectly with UltraVNC utilizing MSLogon. Beautiful and easy to use. Only con is that it is a little pricey.

RDP support is pathetic at best. Unable to copy files and the drag-and-drop support does not work with RDP. Uninstalled.

Fantastic app, has never let me down. Speedy controls that make working remotely less of a pain.

This is by far the best RDC/VNC client for Mac. It is Invaluable in my collection. There are free programs out there but none that I have used that works as seemlessly as Remotix!

Makes connecting to your remote machine a snap over the web. Fast & reliable, with multiple input modes for easy remote control. I’ve used several of these remote login clients and Remotix is my go-to option.

Much like another review of this app, it also stopped working for me out of nowhere. The app acts like it’s going to start but nothing happends. I’m running Yosemite, version 10.10.5

This version seems cannot launch normaly. When you open it, the icon disappear from dock immediately. However, I fix this problem remove and reinstall this application from App Store. I guess it maybe the problem of patching system. Everyone have this problem should try to reinstall it. Besides this issue, this is an amazing application. Very effcient in LAN.
